Embrace the warmth of the season with our Winter Afternoon Tea, thoughtfully crafted by our pastry team. Begin with freshly baked plain and fruit scones, served with homemade blackberry and apple jam. Then delight in a selection of winter-inspired sweet indulgences, including a raspberry and pistachio mousse, spiced ginger cake, chocolate and hazelnut roll, and a mandarin and champagne cheesecake.

Christmas Carols in the restaurant

Get into the festive spirit and enjoy Clare College choir sing Christmas carols in Parker’s Tavern, our brasserie restaurant, around our Christmas tree throughout December.

This will take place every Saturday, from the 29th of November until 20th of December at 7pm.

There will be feasting throughout Christmas Day at University Arms, beginning with a long, lazy buffet breakfast. The day’s highlight: Christmas lunch showcasing our chef’s festive flair and the finest local ingredients. After lunch, enjoy an exclusive guided walking tour of the city before settling in for an evening of games in the Drawing Room.

After a day of revelry, wind down with a leisurely Boxing Day breakfast and time spent curled up by the fire in the wood-panelled library. We can also make recommendations for the best Boxing Day walks around the city and further afield, in the Cambridge fens.

New Year's Eve Gala Package

Step into an evening of timeless elegance with our New Year’s Gala Package, designed to make your countdown to 2026 truly special.

At 19:30, the evening begins with a sparkling reception, where you’ll be welcomed with bubbles and handcrafted canapés before moving into Parker’s Tavern for an indulgent five-course dinner, specially curated for the occasion. As the clock ticks closer to midnight, the party comes alive back in the Ballroom with live music from The G and The Lizards, bringing the energy and keeping the dance floor full all night long.

Toast to new beginnings at midnight with fellow guests and keep the celebrations going as you dance into the early hours.
