Cambridge has given the world more great literature per square mile than perhaps any other city on earth. In their time, preeminent authors have paced along every side street, canal path and cobbled courtyard. Afternoon tea at Parker’s Tavern is inspired by the city’s literary legacy, inflected with a maverick chef’s creative passion. Amongst the bookshelves and shades of Cambridge blue, waiters come laden with trays of savouries and jaunty cakes.

Free-from menu also available. Please note, free-from Afternoon Tea bookings require at least 24 hours to prepare for any allergies or dietary requirements.

Menu is subject to change due to seasonality and product availability.

Served from October 16th until November 1st

Halloween Afternoon Tea

This October, Parker’s Tavern invites you to indulge in a Halloween Afternoon Tea steeped in a delightfully mischievous legend. Our pastry team presents a collection of indulgent sweets, each with a playful and spooky twist: The Pumpkin’s Curse, a spiced pumpkin latte; The Phantom’s Tears, a coconut & mango mousse; Ghoul’s Grin, a peanut butter & jam délice shaped like a skull, and Eternal Night, a salted caramel chocolate tart in the form of a grave.

The savoury selection remains timelessly British: prawn cocktail milk bun, egg mayonnaise, cucumber & mint, lemon crème fraîche & salmon, and a warm sausage roll. Freshly baked plain and fruit scones, served with clotted cream and apricot jam, complete this indulgent ritual.

Classic, indulgent, and just a little mischievous: our Halloween Afternoon Tea is a seasonal celebration where story and sweetness entwine.
